Fender Stratocaster USA 1989 Partscaster Project.

Complete construction of a Partscaster using a 1989 body, new hardware electronics & pickups. The body was originally purchased in 1989 by the customer and has had various spray and refinishing work already done, so its staying as a bit of a road worn / relic. The finished guitar is to be used for gigging in a event band and will need to be versatile to many types of music, so we went for a HSS configuration with bespoke wiring and controls as requested by the customer with our guidance.

Breakdown of project:

• Complete clean up of body and paint with shield paint in the swimming pool area.
• 2002/3 neck acquired from AxeKool which we re-fretted with fender vintage style fret wire and repaired the rosewood fretboard.
• Frets Levelled, Crown and Polish.
• Fender Locking Machine Heads.
• Bare Knuckle Irish Tour Neck & Middle Pickups.
• Bare Knuckle Crawler Humbucker for the Bridge Pickup.
• Fender Neck plate.
• AxeKool bespoke Vintage Wiring Harness with separate coil splitting switch.
• Custom Black Pickguard.
• Ernie Ball 10’s Strings.
• Full Setup etc

The Stratocaster plays and sounds amazing and will be a real work horse in a local band!
