Fender Telecaster Vintage Style Wiring Harness with 3 Way Toggle Switch

This pre-wired Fender Telecaster Vintage Wiring Harness with 3 Way Toggle Switch instead of the normal blade switch. It is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. Forward or Reverse
We can configure the components in conventional forward or modern reverse layout

Forward is Switch, Volume and Tone (the tone pot will be closest to the jack socket)
Reverse is Volume, Tone and Switch (the switch will be closest to the jack socket)

Components
Premium 250k CTS Potentiometers x 2 – Solid Shaft with Vintage Audio Taper.
Switchcraft 3 Way Toggle Switch (short frame)– Choice of switch knob colour is included, Amber, Cream or Chrome.
Switchcraft Jack Socket.
Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor, Size 0.047uF.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.
Gavitt USA cloth covered 22AWG wire.
Jack Socket and Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Treble Bleed Option
A Treble Bleed takes the high treble tone frequencies out of the circuit at the volume pot and puts them back in the circuit as the signal leaves the volume pot. The result is a smoothed out treble and a more uniform tone from 1 to 10. Reducing the treble drop out as the volume pot rolls off. If you like the idea of retaining treble as you roll your volume pot down, then a treble bleed is for you.

The Switching
The switching between pickups functions the same way as normal.

Position 1 – Bridge Pickup.
Position 2 (middle) – Bridge & Neck Pickup.
Position 3 – Neck Pickup.

Will this fit my Guitar?
You are going to need a control plate to fit a toggle switch and not a traditional blade switch. You will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.

Measurements Between Components
Centre of Switch to volume pot = 40mm.
Centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot = 64mm.
These measurements were taken from a USA Fender Telecaster Control Plate. We allow plenty of movement in wire lengths between components to allow for a comfortable fit. We can build the harness to your measurements for you, just let us know when you place order.

The Telecaster wiring harness with 3 Way Toggle Switch is one of the more simple harnesses to fit with just 5 wires to solder, 2 x ground and the 2 hot wires from the pickups and the ground wire from the bridge. All ground wires go to the back of the Volume Potentiometer and the pickup hot wires go to the 3 way toggle switch at opposite ends. There is sometimes an additional ground wire from the body which you will need to solder to the back of the Volume Potentiometer.
