Coil Splitting a Pickup using a CTS Pot
Below is a diagram of a typical coil splitting setup.
Please Note: The colour codes in the diagram vary on different pickup brands.
To explain the process simply, when the Pot is pull up it connects C1 & 1 together. 1 goes to ground, sending white and red to ground with it. So while the pot is in the up position everything goes to ground apart from the leading coil wire (north-start). This just leaves that coil working. Once the pot is in the down position it disconnects C1 & 1 together looping the 2 coils, so the red and white wires and not grounding and both coils working creating a humbucker.
Les Paul Switchcraft 3 way Toggle Switch Wiring diagram
There is sometimes some confusion with the Switchcraft 3 way toggle switch regarding the grounding
I hope this diagram helps, if you are using braided wire, you can use a small length of Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire to hook through the switch eye and then wrap around the 3 wires. This will all need soldering into place.
Treble Bleed Kit Wiring diagram
The treble Bleed Kit solders to the input and output lugs on the volume pot.
You will need one treble bleed kit per volume pot.

The ground wire / terminal goes to the outside of the jack. The tip of the jack is the hot signal.
