3 Volume Configuration
The 3 volume and 1 master tone configuration is where the 2nd Tone control is reassigned to the Middle pickup Volume control. The Middle pickup is always on (regardless of the toggle switch position) and you can blend it in with either or both the Bridge & Neck. With the switch in the middle position, you can turn down the bridge and neck and feature only the middle pickup. Basically it gives you full control of all 3 pickups to use individually or altogether in any order and a master tone.

Components
Premium 500k CTS Potentiometers x 4, short or long split shaft (fitted with additional nut for height adjustment on the long shaft pot).
Switchcraft Toggle Switch – Choice of switch knob colour is included, Amber, Cream or Black.
Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor, Size 0.022uF.
Switchcraft USA Jack Socket.
Gavitt USA Braided Wire.
20AWG Tinned copper ground.
Heat Shrink Tubing.
Jack Socket and Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Long or Standard Potentiometers? (Pots)
If you are unsure of the pot length required on your Firebird guitar, then please order the Long Pots as they will fit all models and can also be adjusted in length due to the extra nut fitted, where if you order the Standard Pots they may not be long enough.
Standard Pot threaded bushing height: 9.52mm.
Long Pot threaded bushing height: 19.05mm (supplied with 2 nuts for height adjustment).

Controls
Volume 1 – Bridge.
Volume 2 – Neck.
Volume 3 – Middle.
Master Tone.

Switching
Position 1 – Bridge Pickup.
Position 2 – Bridge & Neck Pickup.
Position 3 – Neck Pickup.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our Firebird 3 Pickups Wiring Kit is designed to fit genuine Gibson & Epiphone models. If installing into an imported model / DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.
