This pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone Thunderbird Bass Vintage Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. We take a massive amount of care and attention when putting our Thunderbird Bass Wiring harnesses together. Everything is fully tested before being posted to you.

This is a Professional Thunderbird wiring harness using the very best in components to enhance the quality of tone and sound output from your guitar.

Components
Premium 500k CTS Potentiometers x 3, split shaft, long or short shaft
Capacitor / Size 0.047uF – Sprague Orange Drop.
Gavitt USA made cloth covered 22AWG wire.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.
Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Long or Short Potentiometers? (Pots)
If you are unsure of the pot length required on your Thunderbird Bass guitar, then please order the Long Pots as they will fit all models and can also be adjusted in length due to the extra nut fitted, where if you order the Short Pots they may not be long enough.
Short Pot threaded bushing height: 9.52mm.
Long Pot threaded bushing height: 19.05mm (supplied with 2 nuts for height adjustment).

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone Thunderbird Bass Vintage Wiring Harness is wired to fit genuine Gibson or Epiphone guitars. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.

Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of Volume pot 1 to centre of volume pot 2 – 40mm.
Centre of Volume pot 2 to centre of tone pot – 40mm..
These measurements were taken from a Gibson and Epiphone guitar. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.
