This is a Professional Thunderbird wiring Kit using the very best in components to enhance the quality of tone and sound output from your guitar.

Components
Premium 500k CTS Potentiometers x 3, split shaft, long or short shaft
Capacitor / Size 0.047uF – Sprague Orange Drop.
Gavitt USA made cloth covered 22AWG wire.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.
Heat Shrink Tubing
Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Long or Short Potentiometers? (Pots)
If you are unsure of the pot length required on your Thunderbird Bass guitar, then please order the Long Pots as they will fit all models and can also be adjusted in length due to the extra nut fitted, where if you order the Short Pots they may not be long enough.
Short Pot threaded bushing height: 9.52mm.
Long Pot threaded bushing height: 19.05mm (supplied with 2 nuts for height adjustment).

Will this fit my guitar?
Our Gibson & Epiphone Thunderbird Bass Vintage Wiring Kit is designed to fit genuine Gibson or Epiphone guitars. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.
