This pre-wired Gretsch Vintage Style Hollowbody Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. This is a Professional Gretsch wiring harness using the very best in components to enhance the quality of tone and sound output from your guitar.

Components
Premium 500k CTS Potentiometers x 4. Options of Solid Shaft or Split Shaft.
Switchcraft Toggle Switch – Choice of switch knob colour is included, Amber, Cream or Black.
Switchcraft USA Jack Socket.
Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor, Size 0.022uF.
Gavitt USA Braided Wire.

Switch Option (Soldered or Unsoldered)
On some Gretsch hollowbody guitars you will be able to thread the switch through to its position while soldered to the the pots, so the harness can be supplied all in one unit. On other guitars the switch will need to be supplied separately / unsoldered (the 3 x switch wires will be labelled for you) from the pots so you can thread it through first before soldering. Its all about access, so we have put the option in for you.

Treble Bleed Option
The Treble Bleed is soldered to the Master Volume. A Treble Bleed takes the high treble tone frequencies out of the circuit at the volume pot and puts them back in the circuit as the signal leaves the volume pot. The result is a smoothed out treble and a more uniform tone from 1 to 10. Reducing the treble drop out as the volume pot rolls off. If you like the idea of retaining treble as you roll your volume pot down, then a treble bleed is for you.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Gretsch Wiring harness is wired to fit all models. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.

Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of neck volume pot to bridge volume pot – 60mm.
Centre of Neck volume pot to tone pot – 60mm.
Measurements can sometimes vary slightly on some Gretsch, so we allow plenty of movement in wire lengths between components to allow for a comfortable fit. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.
